Spirit of Salt and Water
Using the Cyanotype process, I create photographs detailing the spiritually healing presence of life. While these moments are ones which I experience, I find them to be representative of the collective experience.
As a believer of the continuity of life, the process of creating these images becomes symbolic of our own physical bodies. Light sensitive Iron Salts are exposed to UV light which produces a cyan toned image, similar to the neutral salts within our bodies and our own relationship to the sun as we expose ourselves to this reality.
Therefore, once an image is made, its energy becomes part of an eternal circle much like our own consciousness.
